Subject:
September ATV Traction Meeting

Hello everyone,

I would like everyone to know that Mercer County became the 8th Chapter of ATV Traction officially on August 22, 2006. We held election of officers which was our final step in becoming a chapter. Your Mercer County Chapter officers and board members are:

President:          Dan Scott
Vice President:  Chris Bray
Treasurer:          Dan O’Brien
Secretary:         Kurt O’Brien
Advisor:             Steve Sincek
Advisor:             Kevin Shirley
Advisor:             William Smith
Advisor:             Bryan Shields
Advisor:             John Obermiyer
Alt. Advisor:       Jay Johnston

Our next meeting is scheduled for September 10th at 12 PM at Bayview ORV riding area at Shenango Lake on State Route 846. We will serve lunch starting at noon, followed by a short meeting at 1PM. After the meeting we can all take a ride on the trails that were re-opened successfully thanks to the hard work of many volunteers and club members.

At the meeting we will discuss setting a permanent location and day of the month for meetings. We have ATV Traction flags which are required to be visible on your atv anytime you are riding on club trails. You must show your membership card with the registration and insurance boxes checked in order to be issued a flag. If the boxes are not checked, bring the card and proof of insurance and registration for us to verify. We will then record this information and forward it to the corporate secretary. There are no exceptions.

Many members are also planning going to the Red Bank Poker Run in Clarion County (PA) on September 9th. I will send information at a later time.

Thank you all for helping to get this chapter going. I look forward to working with you.

Dan Scott
ATV Traction Inc.
Mercer County Chapter President
